I was stopped and cautioned by a motorcycle policeman for walking my dog on the path through DaSoudi Woods this week. I asked the policeman if he knew of the change regarding dogs and he said he did but 'not here in Limassol'. My dog, a little Cavalier KC Spaniel, was not on the beach, or even very near it, she was on a short lead and walking alongside me. I’d be delighted to hear exactly WHERE in Cyprus these stretches of beach which allow dogs are. I dont think you should go against it. I think its important to support dog beaches of any kind if your a dog lover. I'm very glad it made the msn news. Los Angeles county has been fighting for a legal off-leash dog beach for ten years. It's sad to know we have this whole stretch of coastal beach and our four-legged pals could earn us hefty fines ($100+) if they're caught with paws-on-sand - double if off-leash!
